XDEFI Wallet
Founder(s)Emile Dubié, David Phan

XDEFI Wallet (XDEFI.io) is a cryptocurrency wallet. It was established by Emile Dubié and David Phan in 2020.

XDEFI Wallet allows users to store, swap, and send NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and cryptocurrency across 14 different blockchains.[1][2]

In 2020, XDEFI Wallet was founded by Emile Dubié and David Phan in London, United Kingdom.[3] XDEFI Wallet operated in a closed beta version of the wallet until the fourth quarter of 2021, when it was released to the public more broadly.

In 2021, XDEFI Wallet was audited by Kudelski Security.[4]

As of mid-2022, XDEFI Wallet has raised a total of approximately $26 million USD.[5][6][7][8]

The XDEFI Wallet team has said publicly their vision is to build the premier Web3 crypto gateway.

Four pillars[edit]

According to the XDEFI Wallet team, the four pillars of a Web3 gateway are:[9]

  1. Ability to swap 10,500+ assets natively within the wallet. This currently represents 60 times more assets than Coinbase and 25 times more than Binance.
  2. Permissionless onboarding and unlimited withdrawals: Any user from almost any country can instantly create a non-custodial account and begin trading. All XDEFI Wallet users enjoy unlimited swaps and unlimited withdrawals.[10]
  3. Seamlessly connect to every dApp: Web2 exchanges are walled gardens. XDEFI Wallet seamlessly connects to every dApp in Web3 across every supported blockchain.
  4. A single gallery for all your NFTs: XDEFI Wallet neatly displays all your NFTs from every chain in a single customisable gallery, allowing your portfolio to travel with you as you move between blockchains.[11]

List of cryptocurrencies[edit]

XDEFI Wallet supports more than 10,000 cryptocurrencies on:[12]

  • Ethereum
  • Bitcoin
  • Polygon
  • Fantom
  • Avalanche
  • Arbitrum
  • Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
  • Binance Chain
  • THORChain
  • Bitcoin Cash
  • Dogecoin
  • Terra Classic[13]
  • Terra v2
  • Litecoin

XDEFI Wallet also plans to launch support for Solana, NEAR, Aurora, Cosmos, Osmosis, Juno, among others.

XDEFI Wallet has more than more than 100,000 weekly active users and a 5-star rating in the Google Chrome Store after more than 190 reviews.

Browser extension features[edit]

XDEFI Wallet is a Google Chrome browser extension.[14][15][16] The wallet is non-custodial, meaning that the end-user is responsible for securing their own seed phrase.[17]

Google Chrome browser extension wallets such as XDEFI Wallet allow users to interact with NFT, Web3, and Decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.[18]
