Aaron Fjellman is an American writer and director.[1] In 2021 he made his feature film debut with Caged,[2] a psychological thriller exploring the horrific, mind bending effects of solitary confinement.[3] The film stars Edi Gathegi (X-Men First Class), Melora Hardin (The Office), Tony Amendola (Annabelle), and Angela Sarafyan (Westworld).[4]

Early life[edit]

Fjellman was born and raised in Southern California and attended film school at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After college,[5] he moved to Los Angeles and began his career as a director.[6] working on music videos and digital shorts with an array of American and European clients[7] His music videos have been broadcast domestically and internationally and amassed millions of views online. After collaborating with Ivor Novello winning songwriter Pete Kirtley on a music video shot in Los Angeles, Fjellman and Kirtley co-founded Panic House Films[8] – a film and television production company operating out of London and Los Angeles. Via Panic House Films, Fjellman most recently produced Caged a film that he co-wrote with James Doc Mason and also directed.[2]
