A&E Networks is a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company (which owns 50%; half of the shares) and the multimedia business company Hearst Communications (which also owns 50%; the other half stake of the company). The company operates several brands in the television industry, including A&E, History, Lifetime, and more.

Some of the company's brands include A&E, History, and Lifetime, and some of their most popular properties include Duck Dynasty, Storage Wars and Hoarders for A&E, as well as Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Forged in Fire and Ancient Aliens for History.
